Baggrund
Idéen til MC broderskabet Apocalypse MC, startede mens de fire stiftende medlemmer var medlemmer i en anden motorcykelklub i Sønderborg. De fire medlemmer havde længe talt om at starte en mere seriøs motorcykelklub i Sønderborg. Efterhånden blev båndet mellem de fire stærkere, og endelig blev Apocalypse MC en realitet i begyndelsen af 2004, hvor klubben startede ud med et ret beskedent klubhus i Sønderborg på Als. Endelig købte klubben den nuværende grund og ejendom, som i dag skaber rammerne om Apocalypse MC, i slutningen af 2004.
Apocalypse
Apocalypse MC er ikke en religiøs institution, men har fundet nogle principper og symboler i Biblen og kristendommen, som afspejler de værdier og den dybde der ligger i broderskabet. At broderskabet har taget så ældgamle værdier og symboler i brug, både i navn og rygmærke, er med til at gøre broderskabet stærkt og levedygtigt og gør broderskabet uafhængigt af nutidige påvirkninger.
Navnet Apocalypse er af græsk oprindelse, og betyder åbenbaring. I Johannes Åbenbaring, hvorfra vi har hentet vores inspiration, beskrives Apocalypsen dels som Dommedag, dels som Frelsen. Derfor har navnet en dobbeltbetydning, og dermed to sider. Det lyse og det mørke, det gode og det onde; Alpha og Omega.

Rygmærket
Vores rygmærke symboliser tvetydigheden fra Johannes Åbenbaring. Det symboliserer det kristne i korset, samtidig med at korset i enderne er formet som æggen på en stridsøkse, eller en le (et modificeret Mantuakors). Vi har sølv og guld som symboliserer magt og sejr, samt sort, som symboliserer døden. Både kors og farver symboliserer derved på samme tid liv og død. Sværdene er placeret i midten og står for den evige kamp mellem det gode og det onde. Den ene æg er mørk, den anden lys. Mærket symboliserer derved modsætninger, og dermed også alt hvad der ligger midt imellem. Mærket syboliserer Alpha og Omega. Med andre ord, klubben har plads til alle, som vil tjene klubben og leve efter dens grundprincipper.
Harleyklub eller...
I opstarten overvejede vi meget at lave en klub for Harley Davidson alene. Harley-Davidson er et af de få mærker, som har formået at skabe en helt særlig ånd og mystik omkring deres motorcykler. Den specielle ånd og mystik, går rigtig godt i spænd med vores øvrige symboler og overbevisninger. Dog ville en fastlåsning og bestemmelse af hvilke motorcykler medlemmerne skal køre, flytte fokus fra klubbens virkelige værdier. En klub der er baseret på personen, og ikke hans bike, viser at personen er særligt udvalgt - udvalgt for den han er, og ikke for det han kører på.
Men netop fordi Harley ikke længere bare er et mærke (modsat Harley-Davidson), men er blevet et udtryk, et begreb som dækker over bikes der er indbegrebet af bikerkulturen, gør at hovedparten af medlemmerne sværger til Harley. Der er ingen tvivl om at klubben også i fremtiden vil se flest Harley's, men klubben udelukker ikke andre mærker.
Fremtiden
Klubben er endnu i opbygningsfasen, men planerne for fremtiden er klare. Et lokale i Flensburg er indkøbt, og klar til opstart af vores første klub udenfor Danmark. Vi kører i øjeblikket uden underbuer, da moderklubben i Dybbøl-Sønderborg, indtil videre er den eneste klub.
Fremtidens planer omhandler også åbning af afdelinger andre steder i landet. Kriteriet for optagelse af eksisterende klubber, vil være en accept af de principper og visioner som har dannet grundlaget for Apocalypse MC i Dybbøl, Sønderborg. Dommedagsprofetierne
